Pregnancy Books

As we are telling people i am asking the women involved if they have any good recommendations for books to read while pregnant. the book i had from the library i did not like, mainly because it was anti-home birth but made hospital birth sound HORRIBLE. so here's what i've gotten to so far.

What to expect... By far the most read book. Eva says pretty much all the books are the same and this one is just fine. Jin said she liked this one ok because it had a lot of information, BUT it had a little TOO much information on the things that could maybe possibly go wrong so it created some anxiety. Chris liked the parts in it for the expectant father.

Belly Laughs Jin's other suggestion. she liked this because it talked about all the weird symptoms you get that women don't want to talk about. and it's funny. sweet.







Baby Basics This was my mom's suggestion although i'm not sure that she's actually read it or anything. she just thinks it's pretty good after seeing it in her hospital a lot.






Girlfriend's Guide this one wasn't actually recommended but one of my co-workers at snowden was reading it and found it really funny. i remember her saying in the part about the husband having symptoms that the book says 'oh he's just faking it to get out of doing housework, you tell him to get back to taking out the garbage and remember who is really having the baby around here'

i might just get all of them because they are so DARN cheap when you buy used on amazon.





Expectant father's guide this one i picked up for max for valentine's day (really, what DO you get a guy for valentine's day?) and i like it pretty much. i don't like the cover with the button down because that certainly isn't max. but the other ones for fathers all wanted him to be a caveman or something, he's smarter than that.



Some other Funny Titles i found the rest of these on Amazon when i was looking for the books. the titles just crack me up!
