In other more life-affirming news on the internet (or at least a little humor). i was on some blog and ended up at Dad Labs. i didn't check it out a whole lot but it seems to be the man's answer to all the mom blogs out there. Moms tend to like to blog A LOT. and in recent years we've even figured out how to make money off of it. turns out these dads want in on the action too.

now what i think they got absolutely right in this blog is that it has VIDEO. because you know your husband isn't going to actually sit down and read anything that has to do with parenting. if he's in front of the computer reading anything it probably has to do with his hobby or sports. in my house it's always car forums. (i'm amazed at how much time he spends there but he never seems to read our blog... that's not really true, he reads it sometimes)

the almost most recent Dad Labs video starred a dad-to-be and his wife who is at least 8 months pregnant or so i'd say sharing chores and trying to clean up to get ready for their impending home birth. excitement right? well, the slightly humorous part about it is that the Dad is wearing a sympathy belly. his tasks include: unloading the dishwasher and putting the dishes away on a high shelf, and cleaning the bathroom including the bathtub. now, it's not absolutely the most hilarious thing i've seen on the web lately or on TV even (last comic standing is back on, woo-hoo) but it does get a chuckle and i have to love it when anybody will don the sympathy belly and try anything that seemed so normal in pre-belly life.
