Another Blog catch up moment.
On the saturday of Labor day weekend our dear friends Katie and Shannon hosted a fabulous shower for us and our friends. the nicest part about it (well, EVERYTHING about it was nice) was that it was a couple's shower. so a lot of max's work friends were able to come with their spouses and we all got to celebrate together. katie said she really enjoyed hearing all the MEN talking about babies and child care. and i think that's true. we women get together and talk about it all the time. i'm sure it's helpful for max to hear about it from men he knows and respects as daddies too.
katie and shannon totally out did themselves for sure! big plates of sushi (all veggie so i could eat it) and breads with spreads. and then two great cakes from Jean Jaques - a french style bakery in carytown. and there was chocolate all around from for the love of chocolate. and by the time the shower was finished the entire house and kitchen were totally clean as shannon worked his tail off to make that happen. SO SWEET.
So to Katie and Shannon MUCH GRATITUDE and thanks!!! i am really happy they decided to move to our neighborhood and we see them more than ever now. : ) friends are great!
