Sabine is into showers now.... or, maybe i should say that max and i got a little lax about pulling out the baby bathtub and bathing her during the holidays. i find that letting her shower comes in handy when we're traveling and want to clean up quickly, or when she's too covered in spit-up to go to bed, or when the house is so freezing that putting her in the open air in the bathtub would be considered cruel and unusual(pretty much every night), or when she needs to rinse after swimming.she seems to like it, and is quite impressed with looking at the shaving creme cans.
last night was one of those spit-up filled nights and i decided a shower before bed couldn't hurt. while she was in there she was very cute. she tried to reach out and grasp the streams of water that were hitting her. she was quite focused and kept at it even though she never caught the water. very cute.
on a safety note, this is always a family affair. max hands her in to me and i hand her out to him to avoid slipping while holding a wet baby.

we also partake in baby showers. It seems to go so much faster and be much warmer. It just gets difficult with all of the cradle cap treatment (squirmy baby, oily stuff)... but we also tag team, with john taking outside duty. It is also less messy since ciarán loves to splash now and we get really wet.
Sawyer really likes showers as well! We sometimes hold him, sometimes wear him in the water sling (well, those days are mostly past), and sometimes sit him in a bumbo in there. He really likes it and always sticks his hand in the stream to watch it. Really cute! I hated our baby bathtub.
