Mommy Help

Mamaboo came this weekend to help me out some while max was away and just in general and it was SO helpful. it wasn't like she did a TON and i suddenly had tons of downtime or me-time (which would be really nice) but just having her there gave me lots of little snippets of help that i don't usually have. some of the great ways she helped:
she played with sabine at 6 am so i could go back to sleep
she asked me if i wanted to take a shower while she watched sabine (instead of me asking max to watch her so i can shower)
she made eggs for breakfast
she swept the whole first floor of our house while sabine slept
she helped me make a tummy time station for sabine while she's in the cast
she made spaghetti sauce for dinner and made a lasagne for our freezer with the leftover sauce
she then mopped the kitchen floor because she'd spilled so much spaghetti sauce on it in the making
she put together the highchair that we'd talked about putting together but never did
she went shopping with me to try to find seats, and bouncers that sabine can use (no luck)
she hung out with me in the kitchen while sabine needed to cry for five minutes before she went to sleep
she did PT with me in the kitchen at 9:30 at night. (that was funny)
she changed diapers
she HELD sabine
she bought and cut fruit for easter breakfast in the morning
she walked with me and tyco and sabine
and she is the ultimate easter bunny helper
so looking at that list.. ok, she did do a TON and i am very grateful. this was after being at my house two weekends ago then in colorado to see my brother and his family last weekend. i told her when she came in she should say: "am grandmother, will travel" and this weekend aside from all the work, it was just nice to have another person to talk to and to pass sabine back and forth with. hooray for grandmothers!
