Yes, we have them.... TEETH are exploding out of sabine's head at the moment. or maybe more accurately, driving their way through her sweet little gums to the light of day where all can see.
in reality i'm a bit late with this post. we've been dealing with the teeth for a little while now. first bottom left, then top right. those have been the front runners for about a week. we thought they'd make a great snaggle-toothed pair on their own, but now it seems bottom right has decided to join in the fun. so when we thought it was over for a short time. now we're back into the agony of cutting teeth.
of course, no picture yet, but we're getting to the point with the first two that you don't have to strain your neck to a strange angle to catch a glimpse of them when she opens her mouth. Sigh, i guess that little gummy smile is over, my little baby is becoming a little girl. crazy how fast it all goes.
... in other news, my computer has been on the fritz which is why i haven't posted, but has been a good experiment in unplugging from screen time and plugging in to REAL time... always a good thing. but sabine's other recent accomplishments include sitting in the highchair quite often and feeding herself some puffs (though nothing much else, and nothing with a spoon), we have also found a way to successfully navigate bathtime so that it is no longer the absolute HORROR that she seemed to think it was about a week ago. i'd venture to say she's having fun now. and if i have to hop in there with her, oh well, bummer for me a little relaxing and fun soak at the end of the day (boo-hoo, or not) she is very much into rolling over and wrestling with daddy. photos of that to come... and finally she is definitely saying mama and dada. it is not totally discriminate but if she's with one of us and she wants the other she'll call us by name. if she wants to nurse she'll call me (i think mama might just be the name for nursing) and if she's just waking up she will definitely call out "Mama". it is very sweet to hear her gravelly little voice... max calls it the rachel ray voice. OH and she's in to dancing. this has been ongoing for sometime, but she's actually doing that cute baby bounce to dance to ANY song she hears and when she's having fun in the highchair eating. VERY VERY cute. we'll try to catch it on video. and i think that's all the news. ... pics and fun to come once the computer is running effectively again.

can't wait to see those teeth!
i think mama is latin for milk or breast... like mammal. probably since one of those first sounds that baby makes are the d's and m's and that's the first thing they need to let you know they want! i don't think i was (as a whole, not just nursing) called mama until a little after she turned a year old. and for a little while, i translated it as "want"... because she would "mama" other things too, when desperate. ;)
