A taste of things to come

Last Sunday we came upstairs together and then Sabine sipped into her room and closed the door. Then when I tried to come in she emphatically closed the door again. She said she wanted a little privacy, so I respected her. But oh my goodness, teenager-hood is going to be a challenge. A few minutes later she opened it up again and we went on with our lives.

it was definitely a strange experience to be on the other side of the closed door. i guess we'll all grow up into the people we need to be for her to be able to be a teenager!
