Our Due Date is Approaching

Currently Craving: More Chocolate (i had to come upstairs to escape it)

In two days it will be October. Our baby is DUE in October. and really more towards the beginning of October than the end. um. that's nuts. in a few short days or weeks our lives will be completely changed and my days that are now filled with yoga and sleep and quilting and visiting with friends will be filled with nursing and lack of sleep and diaper changing and doing laundry and trying to figure out what you actually DO with a newborn.

right now we're in that weird waiting period. so far i'm handling the waiting just fine. patience is one of my virtues. but it's always a fun game to hear what others are thinking....

SO, if you at all have a guess on WHEN this baby is actually going to arrive, now is the time to post it in our comments. if you get it right you can brag to all of your friends about your total connection with the universe and ability to read the mind of unborn infants.

here are the facts and guesses we've gotten so far:

THE FACTS Our official due date according to Nancy is October 12th. and at our appointment this morning she said she figured we'd pretty much go up to our date. she did not check me and so i cannot report on that. i have felt 'crampy' some days and have had braxton-hicks contractions but as of yet nothing else has happened to make me wonder if labor was starting.

THE GUESSES we have gotten two guesses and i have had a thought of my own. the first guess came from Ken, max's friend, who hosted our car party. his guess is October 14th because it is the actual full moon. The second guess is from Karen, my friend in cali, who guessed October 17th because it is the time when the moon is in perigee having the greatest gravitational pull on the earth and is moving from full to new moon. some time back i got in my head for no reason whatsoever that she was going to be born on the 8th and so that's what has stuck with me.

Those are the guesses.... feel free to add your own and to include anything else such as time, length, and weight. i guess her body and mine are the only ones who really know and so far they aren't telling.
