Currently Craving: not sure
no blogging for the past few days, not because we're in labor.. instead
there isn't really much to report. at this point, max and i are sitting around waiting for labor to start. of course, slightly bored of waiting but if it were to actually start i'm sure we'd be anxious immediately. so it's like we're on summer vacation only the august part of it, not the june part of it. you're ready for things to get going even though you know it's going to suck when they do. (the suckage i'm referring to is only the labor part, not the part about getting to finally be parents and meeting her)
babe has been doing her part to make me more uncomfortable by punching me in my bladder or somewhere down there with enough force and regularity to make me squirm from time to time. and she gets really active between 10 and 11 pm but nothing more substantial than that. i think she's just ready to start typing. and i've reached that point in pregnancy where it feels like my bladder is really a water balloon that could pop at any moment. i think i should just wear depends and be happy with that, but i can't go there.. not yet. (no matter how many trips to the ladies room it would save)
otherwise i've had some cramping like moderate PMS. and i'm fine with that for a few days. if that does the work over a few days that might usually take several hours of active labor... bring on the cramps. and then on tuesday i had a bad headache and just put myself to bed for most of the day. i never could decide if it was hormones or something i ate. i made max take my temperature in the evening just to make sure i was well, and it was fine. so i'm fine.
yoga this morning and rushing hormones afterwards. it's like i can sit back and watch and feel them coursing through my veins and i know it's going on.... luckily they're not making me weepy girl this time. they do make me bunch up my face a little bit and hold some tension in my body in ways that i wouldn't normally. when i notice i try to let it go. and i've still be holding my abs a lot, so i'm trying to let them go too, but i hold them all the time without knowing. i haven't been practicing my relaxation CD so i did that this morning and i think it helped. i have bumped up my mantra/meditations/affirmations so that's a positive. i know they will jump into my brain during labor because they're already jumping into my brain when i'm trying to relax to go to sleep. and i've been reading birth stories to get myself ready too. thank goodness women write those things.
so that's it. the house is pretty much ready other than needing vacuuming due to the constant dog fluff shedding. soon i'll post about what we've been up to in the last two weeks so you can see our handiwork. otherwise we're just waiting to meet her whenever she wants to be born.
