What we've been up to.....

In the last two weeks we've been keeping busy with getting ready for babe....

We received babe's rocker in the mail and got it set up in her room, with a sock monkey to keep it company until she is born


i've made about 10 birth affirmation signs ... need to make one more... and i made some others of the hindu gods and goddesses that could inspire me during labor


we've been watching this balloon deflate. it was given to me by my bookgroup at the end of AUGUST. max is convinced it will deflate when babe arrives. so far it's still holding strong!


We bought babe a bookshelf and arranged her books and toys on it. sorry no full nursery pics yet because it isn't done AND it's full of birth supplies which aren't all that attractive.

Last saturday we drove to ashland for the pumpkin patch. it was fun but will be better next year when we actually take the hayride out into the patch. this year we bought a pumpkin...

Max configured the car seat so that it is set for newborn instead of big cousin size where it was set previously. and we got the base installed in my car.


We put one of Tyco's beds outside since it has been cool and dry.


we've watched tyco sleep....

we've also organized all of our glassware into the shelves in our kitchen to clear shelves in our living room for kid stuff, we've learned a lot about the habits of 'black cat' and 'grey cat' who roam the neighborhood and love our front porch, we've cleaned, today i dusted all of the windows (8 of them) in our bedroom and the baseboards, i spent an entire day creating birth art with a friend of mine, then i designed printed and copied birth invitations for nancy, max, and katie, we've watched hours of Grey's anatomy on dvd and are burning through netflix, and we've even watched presidential and vice presidential debates, we've gone out to eat a lot more than normal, cooked in a lot more than normal, and gone to see plenty of movies. i still practice yoga and meditation, max hits the gym and sends out camera gear, we got the tub ready, we have washed and organized anything that will touch babe's skin in the next 6 months. oh and max got a new (old) car. other than that we're just walking tyco around the block and waiting for this baby to decide she's ready to be born.
