we went back to dr d today to check sabine out. the stats are: weight 10 lbs (she gained more than an ounce a day since last time) 25th % length: 21 1/4 almost 2 inches longer 25th % and head 14 3/4in 10th % so dr d was fine with that. max said 100th % for hair!
heart, lungs, liver, spleen everything is good. sleep is better than expected with a full 8 hour stretch last night. apparently the lack of real naps is normal and we are to expect catnaps until about 6 months -- so we're probably ahead of the curve on that too since she does nap for an hour or more sometimes (if we hold her)
she got two immunizations. rotovirus and whooping cough and she did fine with the shot.. was more angry with dr d for messing with her earlier. she'll go back next month for more shots.
and we got the OK to fly to florida for a visit... we'll just watch out for sickies on the plane.
so all good news.
then the hips. dr d found a clicking in her left hip so we have to go to the orthopedist on thurs to have it checked. could be nothing but ligaments (like mom) but could need a little bracing to get strong. we'll see. happily, the nurse called and made the appt for us while we were in the office. and it's lucky she did because apparently the office will be closed until 1/14 starting the next week. that's a nice long vacation.
maybe we should just go back to see april the vet and check her ourselves.... or not. tyco is due over there soon. i guess we'll take the dog to the dog dr and the baby to the people dr. it was really convenient the last time though.
