After stockings, it's downstairs to see what Santa brought. Santa's presents are left unwrapped beneath the tree.
This year was great because at 2 Sabine wasn't freaking out about Christmas but knew something fun was going to happen. The snag came when with about a week out she decided that Santa would bring her a goldfish. We managed to convince her he would bring a goldfish TOY. Then when Santa had trouble producing one we realized we might have to even go to goldfish crackers. She thought those would be fine too. Eventually Santa had enough time to make a goldfish toy (in the form of a clownfish, but she was happy) and all was well on Christmas morning when Sabine got both the goldfish toy AND the crackers.
Gifts from Santa under the tree: A Mrs. Claus made baby doll quilt, a tote bag also by Mrs. Claus, Goldfish crackers, a new bowl for cereal, a Baby doll named Lucy, a goldfish toy, and a baby doll bed made by my grandfather and passed on for Sabine
