Currrently Craving: Nap maybe?
two things: first, in our Bradley class this week our teacher told me right away "You yoga teachers can't push!" uh, ok. does that mean yoga teachers are bad at pushing... or we should not push? apparently yoga teachers are WAY too good at pushing and end up delivering babies so quickly that they end up with some, uh, uncomfortable tearing. as she put it ' you do kegels for a living' so she assured me Nancy would slow me down but she wanted to plant that seed in the back of my brain anyways. hmmm
second, driving back from a meeting yesterday at one of my studios i was hit with. 'man, i'm like, totally pregnant!' as if i'd never realized that before. as if i was just feeling it as the truth in my body at that moment. HELLO LADY... you've been pregnant for almost seven months now and it's almost over! at this rate i'll catch up with being a mother just in time for Babe to graduate from high school!

kitzinger (again), hypnobirthing, and birthing from within all have variations of a "breathe the baby down"/let your body do the pushing philosophy that is really beautiful to watch. athletic pushing is a pretty scary and does make for tears.
some other mean stereotypes? gymnasts are the worst pushers. ballet dancers too.
